Year
2002
Siemens has donated personal computers, scanners and microwave
oven to Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital in January
2002. The beneficiaries are the patients in that hospital.
To support environmental protection programs, in April
in the same year, Siemens also donated cash $10,000 to support
the Fish Cleansing Water Campaign organized by the Conservancy
Association.
During the summer time of 2002, a number of Siemens employees
have visited the Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital
to bring some fun and happiness to the children patients
there. On 24 July, when we visited the hospital, we have
arranged some games and gifts for them so they could have
some joyful moments even in a hospital environment.
In September in that year, we donated some home appliances
to St. James’ Settlement including washing machines,
refrigerators, water heaters, water kettles and energy saving
lamps so that senior members of the organization could be
benefiting from the offers.
Siemens also takes immediate actions in fulfilling the
emergency needs of its social service targets and charity
organizations. In December 2002, it has donated some home
appliances and mobile phones to the Society of AIDS Care
to support their work in serving AIDS patients.
